Professional Biography – Humayoon Farzam

Born in 1967–1968 in Siaghan District, Bamyan, Humayoon Farzam is a distinguished Afghan artist recognized for his exceptional talent in custom sign-making, portrait art, posters, and advertising design.

Humayoon Farzam graduated from Naderia High School and later earned a diploma in CADD from CDI College. He began his formal training in calligraphy in the early 1980s and refined his skills through advanced study inspired by master calligraphers such as Wakili Popalzai and Gholamhossein Amirkhani. In 2000, he further expanded his expertise in Islamic illumination arts in Peshawar.

From 1992 to 1996, he served as Head of the Creative Workshop for the Artists’ Union in Mazar-i-Sharif. He later worked as a partner artist in Peshawar (1996–2001) and as an artist with UN-Habitat in Balkh (2002–2003). Since 2003, he has been actively involved in establishing and supporting the Calligraphers and Painters Association of Balkh Province.

With decades of experience, Humayoon Farzam is known for blending traditional calligraphy with modern design techniques, delivering high-quality custom signs, posters, advertising materials, and professional portraits with precision and creativity. At very reasonable prices, he offers custom signage, promotional artwork, and detailed portraits of loved ones or public figures, tailored to each client’s vision.
