Services

ACSL offers a variety of services, including education, support, and community development. These services can help people connect across cultures and overcome barriers to inclusion. 

Education 

• Language instruction: Teaching the language and culture of an ethnocultural community
• Community education: Providing information about Canadian culture and life
• Anti-racism programming: Working to eliminate discrimination and improve relations between communities

Support 

• Settlement assistance: Helping newcomers with housing, interpretation, and social services
• Employment assistance: Helping people find jobs and prepare for the job market
• Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to newcomers
• Translation and interpretation: Helping people communicate across languages
• Social Isolation: By working together, the problems associated with social isolation can be reduced and others will be protected from becoming socially isolated. We have a wonderful volunteers that would help seniors, adults and children with social isolation 

Community development 

• Capacity-building: Helping people from disadvantaged communities overcome isolation
• Community bonding: Helping immigrants form community connections
• Workplace diversity: Helping businesses and organizations create welcoming and equitable workplaces

At ACSL we also advocate to preserve and promote a community's culture, identity, and traditions.
